How to play Omnicrafter

A beginner's guide — five minutes from first click to first discovery.

Your first minute

Hit play. That's genuinely it — playing as a guest creates a real account with no forms, no email, no download, and you land in the lab with the four base elements. Drag one card onto another and you've crafted your first item. The classics come fast: Water + Fire = Steam, Steam + Earth = Geyser. Every result is a card — name, emoji, pixel art — and it joins your collection the moment it appears.

How combining actually works

There is no recipe book, and that's the whole game. When you combine two cards, one of two things happens:

Because every player crafts in the same shared tree, the game grows as the community plays. You can watch it happen on the recent discoveries page.

Chasing first discoveries

Early combinations are mostly charted — the shallow parts of the tree got mapped by the players before you. The frontier is where things get personal. A few honest tips:

More on what a first discovery is worth on the first discoveries & rarity page.

Mints, serials, and rarity in one paragraph

Every craft mints a numbered copy of the item, like a trading-card print run: #1 of 1, #2 of 47, and so on. Rarity is frozen at the moment of minting, from how deep the item sits in the crafting tree and how early your copy came — a first discovery is boosted hard, the top ten copies get a bump, and late copies of a popular item settle toward common. Your early finds stay rare forever, no matter how many people craft them afterward.

Accounts, the honest version

Guest play is a real account. If you start caring about your collection — and the first 1-of-1 tends to do that — secure it in one tap with a passkey, or a password if you prefer. No email is ever required; an optional recovery email is exactly that, optional. No trackers, no analytics cookies, details in the privacy policy.

More questions? The FAQ covers the fast answers, the about page covers the project itself. Or skip the reading and play — the four elements explain themselves.
