Games like Little Alchemy

What to play when you've crafted everything · Updated July 13, 2026

Little Alchemy 2 is a hand-crafted gem — and at roughly 720 items, a finishable one. The best free games like Little Alchemy for players who don't want the crafting to end are Omnicrafter and Infinite Craft, where every new combination is invented by AI on the spot, so the item tree is genuinely unbounded. Doodle God is the third classic worth knowing. All of them are free and run in the browser with nothing to install.

Full disclosure: Omnicrafter is our game. We loved Little Alchemy first — it's credited on our about page.

What made Little Alchemy special

Curation. Every one of its combinations was written by a human with a sense of humor, and the in-game encyclopedia gives each item a witty description. The trade-off is the same as any hand-made world: one day you craft the last item, and it's over.

Omnicrafter — the crafting never ends, and your finds are yours

Omnicrafter keeps Little Alchemy's cozy drag-two-cards-together loop but makes the world collaborative and endless. The first time anyone combines a pair, an AI (Claude by Anthropic) invents the result — name, emoji, pixel-art card — and your name goes on that discovery forever. Every craft mints a serial-numbered copy with rarity frozen at mint time, so there's a real collection to build, leaderboards to climb, 1v1 duel races to run with a friend, and a shared persistent canvas where players own plots. Free to play — no download, no email.

Infinite Craft — pure, minimal, word-based

Neal Agarwal's sandbox strips the genre to nothing but the combining. Results are words rather than illustrated items, the AI goes delightfully weird, and there's no meta-game at all — no collection, no multiplayer, just you and the next combination.

Doodle God — structured, quest-driven alchemy

If what you liked about Little Alchemy was working toward completion, Doodle God leans into that: curated elements grouped into categories, unlocked through episodes and quests. More campaign, less sandbox. Free with ads on web and mobile.
